Site Check in: Colley’s Chess Café 320 N Main Bloomington, IL Bloomington, IL 61701 www.colleyschesscafe.com Playing hall at 314 N Main Street Bloomington.
Parking: Main Street Parking and in the Market Street Garage 1 block south west of CCC
Sections: 4 sections by grade: LP (K-1), UP (2-3), EL (4-5), JH (6-8) Limit 30 players per section.
Number of Rounds and Time Limits: 5 rounds G/30
Registration Limit: Registration is limited to the first 120 entries 30 per section.
Prizes: More than 1/3 of all entry fees will be returned in awesome trophies, metals, and gift certificates for chess lesson. 10 Trophies per section, biggest upset, in each section. Commemorative metals for all non-trophy players. All players will take home something! Top two players each section will win a gift certificate for a one-hour private chess lesson from CCC Instructor.
Entry Fee: $25. Please make entries by registering online at www.bnasc.org. Entry deadline is 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2009 or until limit of 120 entries / 30 per section is met. CCC Students and Bloomington Normal scholastic player will have first priority.
Registration (coaches & parents only): Check in and all changes are due by 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. You must be checked in by 8:30 or you will not be paired for the first round. The first round will start at 9:00 a.m. with subsequent rounds to follow as soon as possible.
USCF Registrations: USCF membership required, JTP acceptable for K-3. Please check that your USCF registrations are current through 1/09. USCF can be purchased on site or at www.uschess.org.
