The 33nd Annual Tazewell County Elementary School Chess Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2011 and will again be hosted by Georgetown Middle School. Information and registration materials will be sent to all schools with students in grades 3-8 in early January. The tournament is open to Tazewell County students in public and private schools in grades 3-8, with or without a chess club in their school, and to students that are home schooled.
Students from peoria and other surrounding counties are not eligible to play in the Tazewell County tournament.
