Friday, March 6: Late Registration for the Blitz and Bughouse Tournament: 5:30-6:15 P.M. Check in and Late Payment for the 2009 Illinois K-8 Chess Championships: 7:00-9:00 P.M. Blitz Tournament: 6:30-8:00 P.M. Bughouse Tournament: 8:00-9:00 P.M.
Saturday, March 7: Check-in Time: 8:00-9:30 A.M. Round starting times K-1 Section: 10:00, 12:30, 2:00, and 3:30 Round starting times 2-3 Section: 10:00, 12:30, 2:30, and 4:30 Round starting times: 4-5 & 6-8 Sections: 10:00, 12:45, 3:15, and 5:45

Each participant will receive a commemorative ribbon Trophies to top 25 individuals in each division Trophies to top 10 teams in each division Trophies to top 2 in each grade Class trophies for top 2 in several classes in each division
ENTRY FEE & REGISTRATION
$35 per player received by Thursday, March 5, 2009. Please register online at bnasc.org. If your registration and payment cannot be completed by March 5, then the late registration fee is $50.00 and payment must be received by 9:00 P.M. Friday evening, March 6, 2009. Late registration will be available on Friday, March 6, from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. All money including registration and USCF membership fees are to be completed before the day of the tournament. No new registrations will be accepted on Saturday morning!! If you do not pay online, please make your check payable to Bloomington/Normal Area Scholastic Chess or BNA Scholastic Chess, and mail registrations with all information to Bill Barton 2267 Chase Lane, Normal IL 61761. Side events: Friday 3/9 Speed Chess Tournament 6:30-8:00 P.M. Bughouse Tournament 8:00-9:00 p.m. Other information: Players must come from the state of Illinois. Top four players count toward team score. No club teams. No byes last round. Byes for any single round must be requested before the end of the first round. Only one bye allowed for tournament. All other rules/regulations shall be in accordance to CoChess By-laws and the USCF Rulebook. For information see BNASC.org. Please make hotel reservations early! 2009 ILLINOIS K-8 CHESS BLITZ & BUGHOUSE TOURNAMENT

March 6, 2009, Illinois K-8 Chess Blitz & Bughouse Tournament - Illinois State University Bone Student Center, Normal, IL, 100 N. University St, Normal, IL. Please register and pay online at bnasc.org by Thursday, March 5. The entry fee is $10 by March 5. Late registration will be on Friday from 5:30 P.M. to 6:15 P.M. with a late registration fee of $20.00. Fee includes both blitz and bughouse. Schedule: Blitz from 6:30 p.m. to 8 pm 5 Rounds SS; Bughouse from 8 to 9 p.m. or when complete, Awards Ceremony. 5 rounds SS. Prizes: Trophies for Blitz Tournament: First through third place overall and First place for each section, K-1, 2-3, 4-5, and 6-8. Bughouse Tournament: Top four.
