When: May 5th, 2012

Who: For players who have attended club meetings prior to the tournament date (yes, new players may come join us May4th and become eligible).

What: Two 5 Round Swiss System Tournaments. Winner of the Upper section will be known as Hult Chess Club Champion. Winner of the Lower section will be known as the Hult Prodigy Chess Champion.

Sections: Divided by club section. Coach Patrick and Coach Murrel will conduct separate tournaments for players in their sections. So come to play competitive chess.

Prizes: There will be Candy (or alternative healthy fruit). There will be Trophies. There will be Chess Book prizes. There will be Free pizza and juice for lunch. There will be good cheer and good times for all.

Time Control: Game 30 with 5 seconds delay.

Schedule: Check in from 8 to 9am. No new entries and no substitutions allowed on Saturday morning after 9am. This allows time for first round pairings. As players arrive they should check in with their coach. If you are late we can give First round ½ point byes and you play in rest of tournament. First round will start at 9:30am. Third round will start at 12:30pm or after lunch. Other rounds and awards ASAP.

Entry Fee: $10 per player (payable at site, check or cash OK). USCF membership is required and can be purchased at the tournament. Special FREE 1 Day memberships are available to players in grades K-3.

How to enter: e-mail or Friday night pre-registration during regular club meetings is preferred - send emails to murrel@gmail.com. Late entries will be accepted Saturday morning at Hult.

Information: We need the players last name, first name and middle in that order, school, grade, birth date, USCF number, rating if available, and e-mail for future events. If we don't already have that information in our computer, please let us know so we can update it before the event - it will save time. All players must agree to abide by the club rules of behavior - all quiet in the tournament room and no running, shouting or visiting areas of the building where chess is not going on.
